Dear United States Federal Government officials,

We the people (your collective bosses) hereby reduce your pay to $1 a year, just like the CEO's of the auto companies that you forced us to pay without our consent. That pay will remain at $1 a year until the finances of this federal government are under control. We have officially revoked your cushy pension plans, health care benefits, and extravagant pay until the time that you have reduced this once great nations debt to $0. We will not stand for your irresponsible spending to be dumped on us and our children any longer.
